Pedestrian crossing on the river Sabato – Atripalda (AV)

Factory production of the pedestrian walkway that will allow a connection between via Gramsci and via Roma in the municipality of Atripalda has started. The intervention funded by the company “L.R. Legno Srl “is part of the broader plumbing and environmental redevelopment works underway on the Sabato river and financed by the Province of Avellino.

The gangway designed by the civil engineering firm R. & C. Petrosino of the engineer Raffaele Petrosino, assisted by the surveyor Enrico De Cunzo, is of the cable-stayed type with a mixed structure in reinforced concrete and steel, with two shaped pillars in reinforced concrete. and deck structure and stays in metal carpentry with tubular profiles in hot galvanized steel.

The steel structure in production consists of a deck with a maximum plan size of approximately 19.00 x 3.40 m, with two tubular beams fixed on one side to the reinforced concrete pylons. and on the opposite side rest on a foundation beam with seismic isolators.

The main beams are connected to each other by a secondary reticular structure and supported by six tubular metal tie rods fixed at different heights to the reinforced concrete pillars; the work is completed by the parapets with uprights in shaped bearing plate and elements in welded metal tubing and the walkway in grilled metal panels with wooden plank above.

The connections of the entire metal structure will be of the welded and bolted type and to allow easy handling during the production phase and especially during handling and transport, it will be made in two different sections that will be pre-assembled on site before launch.
